Just today, Minecraft Live of September 2025 revealed new, exclusive content, as well as news for the latest and upcoming update yet for this year's Fall Drop, titled "The Copper Age". And it is a very exciting one for fans.
Earlier in the year, Mojang Studios promised one drop per season, as promised with Spring to Life and Chase the Skies, which were released in the Spring and Summer. Now that October is right around the corner, The Copper Age follows that exciting trend.
For many months, Mojang Studios has been teasing the community with snapshots and previews that will be added in the upcoming update, which included thousands of more uses for copper, the copper golem, new dye textures, and shelves.
This brand new use of copper has made fans very excited. Ever since copper was first introduced in the 1.17 Caves and Cliffs Update in 2021, the mineral's use has expanded greatly ever since, which extended far beyond lightning rods and building blocks. It had its own lore, something that hasn't been done to such a great extent, since iron was utilized in the game.
After the Tricky Trials update in 2024 gave players more uses with copper, and even added an entire trial chamber made out of copper, the possibilities soon became endless.
Mojang Studios finally listened to their fans by not only bringing back the copper golem, but adding so much more use to copper. Now that there are copper doors and trapdoors, it doesn't stop there.
Copper will now be crafted into tools and weapons, armor, bars, lanterns, and even torches. Just like how iron had its own metal doors and bars, copper will receive the same treatment.
Now that the Autumn season has begun, The Copper Age will soon be upon us. This update will officially be releasing on Tuesday September 30, just three days from now.
After this update, the Mounts of Mayhem update will be coming soon, as the Winter Drop of 2025.
