For many months, the developers for Spayzers' Story Mode Additions (SSMA) have been working long and hard for the mod's highly anticipated update yet, the 1.4 Update, which will include the Sea Temple lore from Season 2 of Minecraft: Story Mode. During that time, fans have waited anxiously for this new update to finally arrive.
After months of waiting, fans will finally get their first look at a pre-release of the update, titled "Pre.2 1.4". It's not an official release, as it is mostly a preview, but it will give fans something incredible to test out.
On November 11, 2025, Spayzers, the leader and founder of SSMA, posted an official announcement of the pre-release on the official Discord server.
According to the announcement, the mod is available to download via Google Drive. As of right now, it is still awaiting approval on CurseForge and Modrinth, but it will be available soon. The Google Drive link is available here:

Spayzers chose to release a snapshot because "people will be able to see some bugs, report them, and polish the mod". That way, he can use community feedback in order to continue improving the mod even further so it will be perfect once it officially releases.
It is unknown when 1.4 will officially be released, but its estimated release date could possibly be late 2025, or 2026 at the most.
